About Paula

Paula first started taking Alexander Technique lessons to help her cope with a severe Repetitive Strain Injury as well as chronic back pain.  Through the lessons, she made a full and complete recovery.


Paula is now a certified Alexander Technique teacher and a member of CanSTAT (Canadian Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique).  Since graduating from the Toronto School of the Alexander Technique in 2000, she has maintained a successful practice in London, Ontario, where she resides.  She teaches private lessons, gives numerous workshops and lectures on the technique, and is a frequent guest artist at the University of Western Ontario.  In addition, Paula is on the faculty at Fanshawe College where she teaches the Alexander Technique to actors enrolled in the Theatre Arts program. Always eager to learn more and advance her practice, Paula has done extensive post-graduate work with world-renowned teachers Nelly Ben-Or and Rivka Cohen.  An active member in the Canadian Alexander community, Paula is currently serving as President of CanSTAT and has previously served as Treasurer.   


Paula also holds a Bachelor of Music from Acadia University, and a Bachelor of Education and Master of Arts from the University of Western Ontario.
